recently, members of the 3rd batch of “e20 training class for ceos of the environmental industry” visited poten enviro to have dialogue with the environmental practitioners as part of the program and learn from the leading enterprises of the industry. mr. zhao lijun, chairman and president of poten enviro, shared his insights on corporate culture and industry outlook with the trainees.
explore the unknown, push your limits
during the sharing session, mr. zhao lijun mentioned that reverence for nature rises from his inner heart whenever he is in a land untraversed and magnificent and went beyond vision of the past in a surge of thoughts.
the future is full of uncertainties. with efforts made by billions around the world, the society has developed more rapidly than anyone could have imagined, so we must go beyond the past experiences. everyone has his limits of knowledge, we should set new expectations for ourselves from time to time, and challenge ourselves by pushing our limits. if we have full ambitions, we will move forward much further and face the future more rationally and bravely.
for the environmental industry, currently there are nearly 6 million stationary pollution sources in china. the environmental enterprises are busy with finding solutions to the pollution. but what would it be like in ten years if we face the trend of industrial transformation and structural upgrading of energy?
we will march towards the future which is promising and yet beyond everyone’s imagination. pushing your limit is the only way to reach the impossible.
passing on faith, inheriting culture
speaking of the philosophy of corporate management, mr. zhao lijun stressed the importance of team work by saying that a great dream cannot be realized by a single person. corporate management calls for teamwork spirit. however, more people do not represent greater power, we shall gather more and more people together to spread this faith and to inherit this culture.
it is not difficult to develop one company to a hundred companies, but it is a challenge to turn one hundred companies into one company. in an organization, we need professionals from diverse background with consensus on shared value. leadership should play a critical role in looking further and aiming higher, while cultural consensus can be reached in the process of involving people of different specialties that willing to follow the same dream.
thoughts can be expressed in words, words can be turned into actions, actions will develop into habits, habits can form values, and then corporate culture can take shape based on such values. self-conscience in behavior reflects that in culture, and therefore leads to the accomplishment of a common goal through teamwork.
intergrowth – a new phase of the industry
concerning the prospect of the industry, mr. zhao lijun expressed his optimism by pointing out that environmental protection is indeed a great career that involves professionals from various specialties and creates the phenomenon of intergrowth, so as to leverage synergies from different enterprises for common development.
with our ambitious dream brightening the future, we shall contribute our own efforts in no time. despite the hardship endured by the environmental industry in china, we now can embrace the window period that will definitely nurture the world-class environmental enterprises in the next 20 years.
